I distinguish between cutting boards, for preparing foods in the kitchen, and carving boards, for carving meat at the table.
As a cutting board, this board would be good only for very small tasks - like perhaps slicing a single onion. As a carving board, though, this is a good size for small roasts up to about two pounds - perhaps half a beef tenderloin or pork loin, or a whole pork tenderloin. It's possible to fit a standing rib roast or part of a beef sirloin roast on it, but a bigger board would be better for those tasks.
The groove around the edge is nicely deep, but narrow. The small reservoir at the end will fill up quickly if your roast is at all juicy. Be prepared to dip it out after carving each serving, perhaps back on to the meat. If your surface is slanted, you'll want to put the reservoir at the low end to avoid overflow of the groove.
The quality of this board is good. It's thicker than most wood boards, and nicely finished on the top. If you need a carving board for small roasts, I'd recommend it.

The perfect accompaniment to a set of Mundial knives, this small cutting board is extremely versatile! It is the ideal size for chopping vegetables and fruits as well as carving small meat and poultry. Measuring 11 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches, this board stands approximately 1 1/4 inches off of any countertop. A grooved channel and large reservoir catch juices when carving meats. Rubber feet prevent the board from slipping while carving and chopping. Comfortable yet unobtrusive handles are built right into the board on each side for easy transport. Attractively designed with round edges, the board is hand finished with the utmost care for a lifetime of use. The Mundial logo, burned right into the wood, signifies the highest quality and craftsmanship.
