(More customer reviews)Perfect price...does what it's supposed to. Never oil your baskets...dust them with a mixture of rice flour and regular flour. Rice flour is like teflon...nothing will stick to it. When done using them, just hold them over your sink upside down and tap out any loose flour, never wash them. I get several of the really long veggie bags from the produce section of my grocery store (the greenish ones) and store my baskets in the bags tightly closed with a rubber band. Since you have flour residue on them, you don't want to attract any bugs. Just keep tightly closed and it works great.

Brotform style bread proofing basket. Also known as a banneton, it is a favorite of artisan bakers for raising their bread dough. The basket coils provide a beautiful shape and decor for a traditional hearth loaf look. This basket is exceptionally well made in Europe of the highest quality natural materials.Dust the basket with flour and the risen dough drops easily onto your baking surface. For proofing very wet doughs, as called for with the popular no knead bread recipes, for example, a coating of wheat bran will prevent sticking. To clean the baskets: use a quick hard spray of hot water from the faucet (no soap) then place upside down on the still warm stove top to dry quickly.Measures 8 ¾ inches in diameter across the top and is designed for a 1 ½ lb. loaf.
